In the photograph above,
Mae is wearing a delightful red hat. When asked how she felt about hats and why she wore them, she said "I didn't always wear hats because I didn't think I would look good
in them." But a friend convinced her to go and try on different hats and she actually found one she liked. Mae now says, "Anyone can wear a hat. They
just have to find one that fits them."
Mae Johnson is a member of Alief Baptist Church in Houston, Texas. Mae is the wife of Curtis Johnson, also a member and Deacon of Alief Baptist Church.
